| [General Information] Name: Watari, Karasu Nickname/Alias: Ten-Fingers, Crow Age: 32 Gender: Male Looks: Having grown up in the desert, Karasu’s skin is well-toned by the many years living under the burning sun. He is of average height, with an athletic body. He has blonde, brushy hair usually tied into a ponytail and a small goatee. His eyes are blue. As for his clothing; underneath his Tasogare robe he is often seen wearing black, which is the reason for his nickname Crow. Over his black shirt he wears a black vest with a reinforced collar and reinforced shoulder pads, a black belts and black pants with black sandals. His old Sunagakure headband, now with a strike through it, is still around his head. Even when wearing his Tasogare robe, he typically wears a belt across it holding a large summoning scroll on his back. The scroll is easily twenty centimeters thick, half a meter long and hangs horizontally across his back. Personality: Nihilistic, cynical and apathetic. Those are all keywords to describing Karasu’s personality. Having been through a lot of bad things and having witnessed the flaws and weaknesses of humanity, Karasu has grown mostly cold and uncaring to others. He focuses completely on his own goals without even considering the loss of human lives that will be the result, and views humans themselves as nothing more than fragile beings. Karasu is very nihilistic about everything, even his own life. Having no family, no real friends and no village left to fight for, everything crow does is completely on a whim. He openly claims that since he has nothing to fight for he is as good as dead anyway. He is often very apathetic and neutral about the world and seems to view himself as an observer to other people’s lives and stories. He has taken a liking to following people around who he deems interesting enough and seeing their stories develop. He compares this to “reading an interactive book” and because of his apathy has no problem “spicing up” the story a bit by allowing bad things to happen to the “characters of the story” for his own amusement. When in social situations Karasu is a rather polite figure with a dry, cynical, sometimes even twisted type of humor. He often makes sarcastic comments about very serious, dark matters such as death and betrayal and, simply said, it takes a lot to shock him. Despite this, he greatly dislikes rude behavior viewing it as distasteful and annoying. Neither a loudmouth nor a very silent person, Karasu usually speaks only when there is something to be said, but when he does it isn’t uncommon for him to ramble and use too many words. He also possesses a certain type of humbleness. Well, realism might be a better way to describe it. He is well aware of the fact that he is a powerful shinobi, and despite not the type to brag he will never deny it either. But he has no qualms about admitting when someone is stronger than him. His apathy does have its good points, as it makes it very easy for this individual to view people, situations and even himself from a completely neutral standpoint, without any prejudice. This makes it easy for him to point out faults in people’s logic or convictions, and he is not below lecturing allies and enemies alike when he notices things like that. Karasu seems to like birds. His name means “Crow”, and he seems to greatly enjoy bird watching as a pastime, claiming it is relaxing and calming to the mind to see the little critters life their tiny lives. He used to possess a pet parakeet and even names all his puppets after birds. In battle, Karasu is calm, observant and level-headed often trying to figure out as much about the opponent as possible, and using the newfound information to turn the battle to his favor. However, he isn’t too eager to fight most of the time. He often wishes to avoid troublesome things, but if he has to fight he will not hold back. Name: Dachiyou (Ostrich) Rank: A Appearance: Karasu’s puppet armor. It looks like a large, hunched over man with a black knot as its only hair and a black bandana around its mouth. Although during meetings Karasu shows his true self, when outside on missions he will be inside this puppet to hide his identity. It even wears the Tasogare cloak, hiding the fact that it walks on four legs, and gives Karasu a deep, booming voice. It has three long tails all ending in a large barb. The barbs are actually arrowheads. Abilities:
Weapon Slots: Slot 1- Shuriken Launcher in the mouth. Slot 2- Puppet armor. Very sturdy. Slot 3- First tail can shoot an arrow with explosive tags glued around the stick. The tags, when exploding at the same time, will cause an explosion with a radius of ten meters. Slot 4- Second tail can shoot an arrow with summoning tags glued around the stick. This will cause it to unleash a volley of senbon, kunai and shuriken in all directions. Slot 5- Third tail can shoot an arrow with fuuinjutsu scribbled on it. As soon as it hits a surface, the surface ten meters around that spot will be covered by a pentagram. Name: Washi(Eagle) Rank: A Appearance: A man with black, shoulder length hair with two bangs at both sides of his face. Wears a black cloak and is about 181 centimeters. It has six arms like Woodpecker. Abilities:
Weapon Slots: Slot 1- Shuriken Launcher in the mouth. Slot 2- Its leftarm contain compartments that can be opened up like the third Kazekage’s. From its left arm it can summon thousands of arms that can each be manipulated to attack the opponent. Some arms have hollow ends instead of hands and can shoot kunai, shuriken and jets fire. Name: Chakura no Ito (Chaka Strings) Rank: D Type: Puppetry Element: None Description: The most basic puppetry jutsu. This allows the user to attach strings of chakra from their fingertips to their puppet, allowing them to control it from a distance. In order to become attached to an object, the strings must make contact with the object through the puppeteer or another object. The more skilled the puppeteer, the less strings that are needed per puppet. A true master can control more than ten puppets at once by creating an additional chakra string with some fingers, but a novice will need ten fingers to control just one. The strings can also be attached to other inanimate objects to manipulate them, for example rocks, logs or weapons lying around. This is usually done by connecting chakra threads to a kunai and throwing the kunai at the object the user wishes to manipulate. When the kunai hits the object, the strings will transfer from the kunai to the object.
Name: Chakra no Tate (Chakra Shield) Rank: C Type: Puppetry Element: None Description: Chakra no Tate is a Ninjutsu technique used by puppet masters. This shield is created when chakra is emited in the form of a disk from panels which fan out from the puppet arms. This chakra can block many deadly attacks but some attacks, such as Iron Sand can gum up the puppet joints and render the arms useless. Up to C-rank attacks can be blocked. One B-rank attack can be blocked, but the shields will break afterwards and become unusable for the rest of the thread.
Name: Zankuuha (Decapitating Airwaves ) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Description: Zankuuha is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sound ninja Zaku Abumi. Using the air vents installed in his arms, Zaku can control supersonic waves and air pressure. The Zankuuha creates a massive gust of wind which he can blast at an opponent. The gust is so strong it can even break rock. Note: Requires air vents comparable to the ones Zaku used installed into the character's arms.
Name: Zankyokukuhaa (Extreme Decapitating Airwaves) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Description: Zankyokukuuha is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by the Sound ninja Zaku Abumi. This technique is a variation of the Zankuuhaa. Like the Zankuuha, Zaku creates a large gust of air pressure from the vents in his arms. This technique is the ultimate version of the lesser technique, it creates a massive gust of wind capable of totally wiping out his target and the surrounding area. Note: Requires air vents comparable to the ones Zaku used installed into the character's arms.
Name: Senju Sōbu (Thousand Hands Manipulation Military Art) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Description: From Tako´s left arm opens several compartments. These compartments are prepared with summoning seals in them, which calls forth a large number of long puppet arms that can bend and follow the opponent, then crush them with devastating force. The arms are modified with launchers, which can emit poison gas, binding wires with a kunai-anchor, or regular kunai.
Name: Chakra Taihou (Chakra Cannon) Rank: A Type: Puppetry Element: None Description: After Washi’s hand has stored enough chakra, a large blast of chakra will be shot from the vent. The blast is large and powerful enough to destroy an entire warehouse. Has a cooldown of two posts.
Name: Souzoushiya (Creator) Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Description: A jutsu that allows the user to repair any destroyed puppet if he still has chakra threads attached to it. Can only be used three times per thread.

Name: Keiyaku Fūin (Contract Seal) Rank: B Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: None Description: When the user implements this fūinjutsu on a summoner, it removes any control the summoner has over their summoned creature. This does not mean that the user of this technique gains control over the summoned creature. Close contact and the summoner's blood appears to be required for the implementation of the seal.
Name: Shishō Fūin (Four Symbols Seal) Rank: B Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: None Description: The sealing formula is carved into a human body or an object, and is mainly used when a giant enemy or evil spirit needs to be sealed. To use it, it is necessary for the user to have great ability. Can be used to seal Bijuu into hosts.
Name: Piramitudo Shiyouheki: Tomogane (Pyramid Sealing Style: Telescope) Rank: B Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: None Description: The three Owls each serve as a rite to create a pyramid-shaped barrier in between them. As long as the puppets are in place, the barrier will remain and the person inside will be able to sense any movements within the barrier. The maximum amount of distance allowed between the puppets is ten meters.

As long as the puppets are in place, the barrier will remain and anyone inside the barrier will have their chakra suppressed. Their chakra will also be drained quickly and they will be severely weakened within five seconds. If any of the puppets is destroyed, the technique is undone. The maximum amount of distance allowed between the puppets is ten meters.
Name: Piramitudo Shiyouheki: Hogo (Pyramid Sealing Style: Protection) Rank: A Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: None Description: The three Owls each serve as a rite to create a pyramid-shaped barrier in between them. As long as the puppets are in place, the barrier will remain and be able to block up to A-rank techniques. However, it works from both sides as people inside the barrier cannot directly attack people outside of the barrier. If any of the puppets is destroyed, the technique is undone. The maximum amount of distance allowed between the puppets is five meters.
Name: Piramitudo Shiyouheki: Daihogo (Pyramid Sealing Style: Great Protection) Rank: S Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: None Description: The three Owls each serve as a rite to create a triangular barrier in between them. The barrier is completely flat, and can block up to S-rank attacks. The maximum distance allowed in between the puppets is ten meters. Consumes massive amounts of chakra.
Name: Shikakui Dokubou Fuuin (Square Prison Seal) Rank: S Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: None Description: Eagle’s four hands will serve as rites to retain the corners of a large square. The cube-shaped barrier will even cover the ground. The prison can only be destroyed by S-rank ninjutsu. The hands can only be destroyed from the outside. The maximum distance between the four is fifteen meters.

Childhood and Academy
His childhood had been pretty ideal. His mother was a housewife and his father was a revered jounin known for his great use of puppets. He also had a twin sister, Nanako. Both of the parents loved Karasu and Nanako a lot, and the young children would often watch their father build his puppets and train with them. Because of this, they already had a decent amount of knowledge about puppetry when entering the academy, causing them to become fairly popular among his fellow students.When the two were ten, the father, Watari Gyo, created a puppet for both of them. Karasu’s puppet was called Parakeet and resembled Nanako, while Nanako’s puppet had the name Canary and resembled Karasu. Gyo told them that now, the two would never be alone. They would always have each other to rely on.
Genin
The twins were not placed in the same genin team, though. Karasu was put into a team with a jounin going by the name of Ranji, a female genin using Taijutsu by the name of Yui and a bookish, glass wearing genjutsu using boy called Toshio. The three genin became good friends, and Karasu and Nanako found themselves spending more and more time with their new genin friends than with each other. This went fine for a while, until the third shinobi war started. Team Ranji, Karasu’s team, was sent to the borders of the Earth Country to defend an important fortress against the invading forces, while team Kou, Nanako’s team, was sent to a battlefield near the Fire Country.
Karasu spent most of his time during the war defending that fortress, as it was an important barrier to protect the border. During these times Karasu matured greatly, experiencing the death of comrades around him. His only contact with his home came in the form of hawks. He would frequently write home and ask about Nanako’s wellbeing, but the parents knew nothing. Karasu didn’t have much time to worry about it, as the fighting was heavy and he had to give it his all in order to keep his team from dying. This was only partly successful.
At a certain time, during a the final stages of war, Iwa launched one final assault against the fortress, this time with all their might. They managed to invade the building, and in the thick of battle Karasu was separated from his team. After a while, the poor puppeteer was pressed into a corner together with a few other shinobi, and the group of Iwa jounin almost succeeded in killing Karasu. They had already killed the rest of the shinobi that had been cornered, but just as the jounin was about to plunge his sword into the shivering Karasu, Ranji jumped in front of him and took the blade, killing the Iwa-nin with a mutual strike. With his final breath, he told Karasu the rest of the castle was cleared and the battle was over. Karasu came to the painful realization that, if the jounin hadn’t been protecting him, Ranji wouldn’t have died as the battle was over. And even though Toshio didn’t blame him afterwards, Yui grew much colder towards Karasu after the war and their friendship was eventually broken.
But the biggest shock awaited now sixteen year-old Karasu when he came home; Nanako was dead. Killed in an ambush by Konoha shinobi. Her body had been maimed beyond recognition and all they had been able to recover of her possession was the scroll containing Canary; the puppet resembling her brother. Apparently her corpse had been clutching the scroll..
Chuunin
Saddened by both Ranji and Nanako’s death, Karasu grew silent and cold. Yui wouldn’t talk to him anymore. His only friend left was Toshio, who did notice the once cheerful, warm and naïve Karasu’s personality change. Gyo, however, was instead enraged about Nanako’s death and swore vengeance to Konoha. This caused him to become one of the biggest supporters of one of the most dreaded criminals to have ever lived; Orochimaru. As soon as the Sannin’s intentions to destroy Konoha became clear, Gyo gave the man his full support out of vengeful hatred.
However, due to the Leaf’s efforts the attack was a failure, Gyo was slain in battle and Orochimaru’s true identity was revealed; that of a manipulator and a villain. The sand had to apologize to konoha and sign an unconditional surrender. Now that Orochimaru’s true persona had been revealed, it was only a natural consequence that Gyo received a lot of blame for aiding this man in manipulating the village. Most people started to develop a deep loathing for the deceased puppeteer, and the loathing of some people moved over to Gyo’s family. Thus, Karasu and his mother were in deep trouble. Not only were they without money, they were also being discriminated by the village. Karasu was suddenly disliked by most people, and his last friend, Toshio, also left his side.
Jounin
Now twenty two and a jounin, Karasu participated in the fourth shinobi war. Having become slightly more his old self again, his goal was to make up for both the death of Nanako and Ranji and the mistakes of his father by becoming a war hero. At first all went well, and his abilities greatly contributed to the fight. However soon Suna found itself pushed back, and not shortly afterwards Sunagakure was under siege. Despite sending pleas to the other villages, no help came and Suna was reduced to dust, with only a few survivors left. Karasu was among them, but now that his mother and his home were both gone, he truly had nothing left.
Tasogare
With nowhere to go, Karasu soon tumbled across a newly created organization called the Tasogare, and became one of its first members. He aided them with destroying the weakened Iwagakure, which to him felt great considering Iwa had been an enemy to the Sand during the third war, and until this day remains one of its most loyal members.

Trouble was heading for Sunagakure no Sato. The village’s massive cliff walls could be seen rising from the desert from miles away. These walls provided the village with both protection and security. From these high walls, patrolling shinobi would be able to see anyone who was closing in on the village from miles away, making it nearly impossible to sneak up on it. Nearly, that is. Granted, on a clear, pleasant evening like this traveling above the surface would make one completely visible to anyone standing on Suna’s walls. Above the surface, that is. Unknown to the sentries patrolling the cliffs, a threat closed in on Suna, moving towards the village from under the dunes. It was Rainen. Using Doton to travel underground, he was closing in on the village quickly. This technique was one of Rainen’s favorites. It took surprisingly little chakra yet it could be used in more ways than can be counted on two hands.
Rainen had a plan. A plan to start a war between Oto and Suna. He had been plotting to destroy his former village for two years. To this end he had joined the Akatsuki, a powerful organization composed of some of the world’s most dangerous criminal shinobi. Deadly as this group was, however, S-ranked criminal named Rainen wasn’t satisfied. The organizations had other priorities than the destruction of Oto, and Rainen couldn’t wait for them to finish those. He was impatient. He would set in motion the engine of the Sound’s destruction himself! Otogakure no Sato was a mighty village nowadays, having defeated both Iwagakure and Kumogakure in its rise to power. Rainen knew that. He had contributed to those victories himself! He had been fighting on the front lines in the war versus Kumogakure no Sato. Yes, Oto was strong, therefore it needed a strong enemy. Sunagakure had recently opened its gates to missing-nin looking for a second chance. Even outside of Akatsuki, there were a lot of incredibly powerful missing-nin walking around in the shinobi world. Some of which indeed heeded the Kage’s call. These shinobi greatly added to Suna’s military power, making it the perfect enemy against Oto
In the meantime, Rainen had reached Suna and was now traveling underneath the walls. As soon as he popped up at the other side of it, standing behind a tall building, he instantly performed a quick, one handed seal. All that was required for the simple Transformation Technique. In an instant the young man in the Akatsuki cloak with his blue hair was transformed in an entirely other person. A man in his thirties with blonde, short hair and a scar on his chin. He wore the typical Otogakure outfit and an Otogakure headband. In this disguise, the plan was to damage the village and raise hell, then retreat before he would get caught. But he would make sure people would get a clear glimpse of his Otogakure headband. That would pit Suna against Otogakure. And with hints about an allegiance soon, so would Akatsuki…
He was going to use as little chakra as possible, however. There was a chance he might get into a fight against an equal opponent, maybe even the new Kage himself. In that case, he would need all his chakra. Luckily both Underground Submarine Voyage and Transformation were very chakra-efficient so Rainen’s chakra reserves were as good as full. And with that, Rainen dashed off. To the kage building he went. The best way to start a war was to attempt an assassination on the new Kazekage, or Dezatokage as he apparently changed the name of the rank. Of course all he would do was attempt assassination with one attack and retreat afterwards.
And so, after sneaking through the village trying to find the most abandoned route he could take, silencing the occasional lonely civilian by slitting their throat with a kunai before they could react, the disguised Rainen had reached the Kage building. He didn’t mind the trail of blood he had left behind. Someone would come across it soon enough, but that was fine. He WANTED to be discovered. Just not before he had staged his assassination-attempt on the Dezatokage.
Now came the moment. He had to be quick. He had to reach the kage building’s balcony, the one that leaded to the Dezatokage’s office. However going in from the inside would definitely get him spotted with the abundance of shinobi crawling around in there. So his best option was to scale the building’s wall using chakra to maintain his grip while walking vertically. However that, too, would leave him with a risk of getting caught. Just as Rainen was considering other idea’s, he heard a distant scream. A woman’s scream. Someone had discovered one of the corpses. Rainen smiled. He owed that woman a thanks. Now the attention of every shinobi in the village would be directed to the source of this scream. No one would watch the Kage building! So Rainen dashed. With speed typical to an S-rank melee specialist but insane for a normal human and impressive, though traceable, to a jounin’s trained eyes, Rainen dashed up the building. He didn’t waste a single second, gratefully using the woman’s diversion to its fullest.
And landed on the balcony to the Kage’s office. Now for the assassination attempt and he would be out of here in an instant. Rainen had barely landed or he opened op a summoning scroll making a swarm of kunai burst through the window that led to the Kage’s office. Some of the kunai had explosive tags attached to them, and the explosions would immediately alert the village, as well as increasing the killing potential of the attack. Of course Rainen didn’t expect someone powerful enough to hold the position of Kage to die that easily, but the added killing power made the assassination attempt look more believable, making it seem like the assassin really tried.
